Mayfield Potatoes

I have been eating these potatoes for as long as I could remember and, honestly, I dream about them. I know they don't look like much but take my word for it, they're special.  I was dying to make them so I decided to ask a friend to help me get the "secret" recipe.

They are very simple and very rich. These potatoes are not for the faint of heart or people trying to watch their waist line.

Mayfield Potatoes:

2lbs yukon gold potatoes - peeled, quartered

2c cream

Big pinch white pepper

Big pinch sea Salt  

1 stick salted butter

1 tsp nutmeg

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook until the are al dante - about 10 minutes.

2. Strain the potatoes

3. Gently pass the potatoes through a potato ricer.

4. Add the potatoes back into the pot along with the cream and butter. Cook for another 15 - 20 minutes. Continue to stir. 

5. Add the salt, pepper & nutmeg. 

Serve.

These would be the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving table and I can guarantee you, your guests will leaving our home still talking about how amazing they were... they are good enough to make any turkey jealous :)
